The Rare Books sale totaled 7.3 million RMB with a sales rate of 57%. The longest ancient classical Chinese map known to date, the “Jinsha Quantu” sold for 2.8 million RMB, the highest ever achieved for a classical Chinese map.

“The Jinsha Quantu” is an overall map of the Jinsha River during the middle Qing dynasty, an engineering schema drawn up for a governmental dredging project. Not only is it full of natural southwestern scenery, but it also provides a rare glimpse of history, showing us what the pre-dredged river once looked like.

Stone Rubbings and Calligraphy gathered 1.66 million RMB with a rate of 54.6%.

Stamps and Covers sales brought 7.77 million RMB with a sales rate of 83.8%. The ‘king of Chinese stamps’, a “Three Cents Red Revenue Stamp Surcharged One Dollar” sold for 2.42 million RMB, a world record for its type. A “Whole Country Is Red” block of four un-issued stamps sold for 880,000 RMB.

The Ma Dingxiang Collection of Coins and Banknotes gathered a total of 26.99 million RMB at a rate of 81.4%. The sale included a “Commemorative Gold Coin of Admiral Zhang Zuolin” that sold for 3.19 million RMB, breaking the world record for Chinese coins. A “Sun Yat-sen One-Dollar Coin” with a laurel design and from the 18th year of the Republic sold for 1.43 million RMB, establishing a world record for Republican era manufactured silver coins.  A Xuantong 1909 coin with the central character Bian made 682,000 RMB and broke the world record for Chinese manufactured copper dollars.
