Upon learning of the auction, Mr. Cai Guoqiang and Mr. Wang Du—both famous Chinese artists living abroad—immediately and directly communicated with the sponsors to coordinate transportation from the USA and France respectively to Beijing in order to send their carefully selected auction works. Artist Mr. Sui Jianguo further bolstered the donation effort by unhesitatingly presenting his own important masterpiece—the well-known sculpture, the Alms Bowl.
