The 39th quarterly auctions are scheduled to run in Beijing on Sept. 20 – 23, 2014, with a preview on 17-19 Sept. More than 4,721 items from four categories will be featured - Chinese calligraphy and painting, porcelain, furniture and works of art, rare books and manuscripts going under the hammer.

The Chinese calligraphy and painting sale will include 11 special auctions, with over 2,000 pieces up for grabs.

This special auction includes over 280 modern paintings by Wang Mingming, Shi Guoliang, Tian Liming, Jia Youfu, Xu Xi, and Yao Minjing from Beijing and Tianjin; by Jiang Hongwei, Chang Jin, Yao Youxian, Xiao Pin, and Yao Yuan from Nanjing city; Jiang Baolin and Lu Kunfeng from Zhejiang province; by Fang Chuxiong, Fang Xiang and Lin Yong from southeast China; by Peng Xianchen and Qin Tianzhu from Sichuang province. Highlights include Landscape by Jia Youfu (b.1942), Lotus by Jiang Hongwei (b.1957), Character and Landscape by Tian Liming (b.1955) and Character and Horses by Peng Xiancheng (b.1941).
